When getting quotes for this project, the backend is where a lot of the development costs were being allocated. That’s because Escapes.ca needed a platform that would allow multiple travel agents to log in to a secure web portal and “take ownership” of any pending quotes and then follow up with the quote by finding the best price and automating the emails back to the customer while moving the pending quote through the various stages. In short, they needed a complete system for managing the leads captured through the form.
Using logiforms ‘Publishing and Workflows’ tools, Escapes was able to build two web based portals. One for the Administration of Travel Agent Accounts (so management could add, remove and pause the active Travel Agent Accounts) and the portal that agents would use to manage quotes.
The agent portal used the “take ownership” row action (an action attached to a button) to enable agents to take ownership of a new quote. Once they do this, an email is automatically sent back to the client to let them know that their quote has been assigned to a specific agent, and to give the client all of the agents contact details. This is done via a trigger that sends the email.

The quote status is changed to “processing” and the agent goes to work sourcing a better price. They can drill down into the submission and view the details. Using Conditional Content the details screen intelligently displays only the fields/segments that the user filled out on the form.

Using a Form View (with logiforms you can create multiple views of the same form), Escapes.ca integrated an Accordion Form on the details screen that allows the agents to enter details and prices for each segment.

To tie it all together and automate the emails back to the clients and the change of a quote’s status from ‘processing’ to ‘complete’, Escapes used triggers to intelligently send emails and automate processes.
